It has lowered prescription drug costs, protected millions of Americans with pre-existing conditions, and made progress against the opioid epidemic. In addition, more than 10 million rural seniors benefit from the Affordable Care Act.
Yet, even in the middle of a pandemic, as rural hospitals are closing, President Trump is actively trying to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and stripping millions of Americans of their health care.

Of course President Trump doesn't care about protecting our health care -- he receives far better health care than anyone in rural America, and he didn't have to worry about paying the bill after receiving treatment for COVID-19. As states like Wisconsin see unprecedented devastation from the pandemic, Trump felt confident enough in the privileged care he received to wave to supporters without a mask.
For too long, America’s rural residents have been hit hard by hospital closures and dwindling health care availability -- not to mention the threat of losing access to vital lifelines currently provided by the USPS, which the president repeatedly refused to fund. We need to elect a president who will strengthen our health care system and protect the Affordable Care Act -- not destroy it by asking the Supreme Court to strike it down entirely.
