Together, we have built a powerful campaign to take this seat. And thanks to you, over the past couple of months, we’ve been fully able to go toe-to-toe with the Trump-allied, far-right Rep. Lee Zeldin.
We couldn’t have gotten to this point without our supporters and an incredible team of volunteers. But I know if we’re going to stop this anti-science and anti-choice incumbent, it will all come down to these final days. That’s why I am reaching out today. I can use your help.
We launched this campaign last year knowing that our community deserves policies based on facts and reality -- which Zeldin has proven he cannot deliver.
While Zeldin’s extreme policy positions and vocal defense of President Trump are completely out of step with the voters in NY-01, his record has helped him cozy up to Trump and his network of radical right-wing financial backers. My opponent began the general election campaign with $2.5 million in the bank -- and by the end of our race, we expect him to spend between $4.5 and $5.5 MILLION against me. So my team and I need all the support we can muster to put our pro-science message in front of voters. They need to know about Zeldin’s extremist actions and rhetoric.
Our campaign to beat Zeldin is fueled entirely by grassroots support, and I need your help to keep us moving forward. We are going to make sure that the people of NY-01 have a real leader in Washington who will fight for them every single day.
My team is working to ensure we have the money for the robust communications and voter turnout strategies we will need to ensure victory on November 3. And collective polling shows that if we can out-communicate Zeldin and get out in front of the GOP’s attack ads, we will win this race.
