The American Prospect magazine called them “super-seat” races, and they are of super-importance -- because if we lose them, we could lose the presidency.

They’re scattered across the country: some obvious, some more hidden. States like Florida and Pennsylvania are key, but also states like Montana and Alaska. You wouldn’t know exactly where to look to find the races we need to win in order to take the majority of state delegations back from the GOP -- and that’s exactly how Republicans like it.

Because if we don’t draw enough attention to these races, if we fail to win them, we lose our ability to decide the presidency. That’s right: the president and his allies are scheming to settle the election in Congress (Trump has outright admitted as much on the campaign trail.) If that’s what happens, Trump will get another four years, because Republicans control the “super-seats” they need to declare his victory -- no matter how the American people voted.

We’re doing everything we can to stop them. But right now we are still short of the funds we need to lock down a solidly Democratic majority in the state delegations.
