John, 2020 has been a tough year. From devastating wildfires across California to the continuing coronavirus pandemic in every state in the country to Donald Trump's threats to our democracy, there is a lot weighing on all our minds.
And here's the thing: We'll only solve these problems with real leaders who put people first.
Right now, the people of the 25th district in California don't have a real leader representing them in Congress.
Christy's opponent refuses to stand up to Donald Trump when he downplays the realities of climate change, even as his own district burns. He holds rallies without masks or social distancing in the middle of a pandemic. And he's even lying about his support for the USPS at a time when many are relying on the Postal Service to get lifesaving medication, run their small businesses, and even cast their ballots.
We need Christy in Washington to support working families by passing much-needed coronavirus relief aid. We need her fighting to get more funding for our public schools so every kid can access an excellent education -- even if it has to be remote. We need her fighting climate change at every turn -- because we're running out of time to save this planet.
And we need to elect leaders who are in Washington to represent people -- not corporations and special interest groups -- because the era of big money controlling our politics has to come to an end.
