Hi John,
DxE's legal team has obtained documents through FOIA requests from the US Department of Agriculture that show how industry groups are surveilling and retaliating against those who speak out, like my friend Crystal Heath.

Dr. Heath, a respected Bay Area veterinarian, was targeted by the Animal Agriculture Alliance because she spoke out against industry practices like "ventilation shutdown" where animals are roasted alive. The industry group sent an alert to warn veterinarians not to trust Dr. Heath. She was harrassed online and faced difficulties within her profession. Today, Glenn Greenwald of The Intercept shared her story in a new podcast and article exposing the industry's efforts to destroy the reputations of activists.
This is an important reminder for all of us who speak out against animal ag. There are people who want to destroy us, and who will go to great lengths to do so. One of the best defenses we have is to assume good faith in one another, not gossip, and build a supportive community. That's what Dr. Heath is doing in the vet community, bringing compassionate veterinarians together to speak up. Learn more at OurHonor.org.
