Judge Amy Coney Barrett has made it clear that she is no friend of immigrants. This summer, she dissented in a 7th Circuit ruling, arguing that the Trump administration should be allowed to exclude potential immigrants from green cards if they were likely to require public assistance.
Our DREAMers are already at risk: Though the Supreme Court ruled in June that Trump’s overturning of DACA was unconstitutional, he has been defiant. He’s blatantly rejecting new DACA applicants, limiting existing protections, and will not cease his attacks on undocumented immigrants.
And Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s past rulings have made it clear: If she’s confirmed, SCOTUS will change course and put a rubber stamp on Trump’s evil acts against immigrants.
