Donald Trump's attacks on the 2020 U.S. Census have been relentless. But our community is fighting back.

• First, he tried to add a question regarding citizenship that experts warned would result in an undercount.
• Then, he tried to ram through an order that would exclude any undocumented immigrants from being counted.
• And now, he’s asking the Supreme Court to cut the count short even though his own Census Bureau asked for an extension due to COVID-19.

I've worked hard to ensure a fair and accurate census count because I know how critical it is. The census determines essential funding for things in our communities like education, housing, and more.

And last month, I took to the streets with other advocates and leaders to voice our demand for a fair and accurate census. Trump's attempts to sabotage the census are targeted at discounting communities of color and low-income neighborhoods. And it's simply unacceptable.
