World Mental Health Day - help our helpline

Today is World Mental Health Day and, with depression doubling during lockdown, this year it feels more important than ever to shout about mental wellbeing. That’s why we’re teaming up with ITV on their Britain Get Talking appeal to help fund Britain’s mental health helplines.

Our helpline is a lifeline for so many people. That’s why it’s so vital we’re here every day, no matter what. The film below shows, in their own words, what a call means to the people who use our helpline. We also have Rhiannon, who oversees all our helpline work here at CALM, talking about why the helpline is needed now more than ever. And tune into the final of Britain’s Got Talent tonight on ITV to hear even more stories from our helpline.

"Our helpline is here for you. No matter what."

Why We're Walking

This October, hundreds of people are walking across the country to make a stand against suicide. We caught up with some of them to find out why they're taking on the Lost Hours Walk.

Meet new ambassador, Joe Marler

England rugby union star, Joe Marler, is known for his outrageous hair colour choices and the odd match ban. His book, “Loose Head: Confessions of an (un)professional rugby player”, just came out and it’s a gritty and honest account of his decade playing with rugby top players.

We’re pleased to announce Joe is our new CALM ambassador, so we caught up with him to hear about why he’s passionate about speaking up about mental wellbeing in the sporting world and what he hopes to bring as an ambassador.
