Happy Saturday! We are getting very close; early voting starts this week, and the election is in 24 days! Instead of having a meeting this month, we are focusing all of our attention on different ways to volunteer over the next few weeks. With that mind, here is some info about different opportunities:

1. Phone banking: We are no longer doing a set time for Young Democrats, but if you're interested, here is the signup for weekday times (Tues, Wed, Thus at 6pm): [link removed]

And this is the sign up for the weekend times, which will be done through one of the regional events listed on mobilize.us/wakedems

2. Text banking: For those that would prefer to text, here is the link to sign up, but the shifts have been filling up quite quickly: [link removed]

3. SIGNS: This is a great opportunity to do some in-person work with some other democrats. Most of the work is focused on constructing and organizing signs, but they also work on putting together literature for candidates. Two of our board members (Amy Pridgen and Fabian Burch!!) went last weekend, and they had a great time. Some of the other board members are planning on going next Saturday, October 17, at 2pm. If you can make it, we would love for you to join us. However, if you cannot, there are a lot of other available times, including this afternoon! Here is the link to sign up ([link removed]) !

4. For any other questions, the Volunteer Hub is a great site to bookmark. It has all of this information and more: bit.ly/2020wakethevote

5. Finally, Rebecca Llewellyn is looking for a few people for a paid project. You will be doing literature drops around the county, and it will last approximately 6 hours a day for 10 days, and you will be paid $15/hour. She is also looking for a few paid phone bankers. If you are interested, please let me know ([email protected]), and I will put you in contact with Rebecca. They are trying to get this started in the next few days, so please reply ASAP if you're interested.
