Dear John,

Any doubts anyone may have had about whether Boris Johnson could be trusted have surely now been removed. His muzzling of Parliament, his sacking of principled Conservatives who stood up to him, and his use of every dirty trick in the book to get his way, show he simply doesn’t care about our democracy or the national interest.

He is not serious about trying to get a deal. His own adviser has admitted EU talks are a “sham” designed to drive us closer to the No Deal cliff-edge – while senior ministers including his own brother are resigning from his government because they don’t believe him. Despite selling Brexit on the basis we’d get a “great deal”, Johnson is now trying to force No Deal on us all.

We can't trust Boris Johnson. Instead, we should trust the people to solve the Brexit crisis, in a final say referendum.
