Friend,

With more than 211,000 Americans dead, Donald Trump tweeted "Don't be afraid of COVID." Perhaps he feels he can ignore medical science and the health risk he poses to others because he receives world class, taxpayer-funded healthcare that's unavailable to most people. An even better deal when you consider he only pays $750 in federal income taxes?

This isn't just deeply insulting to so many families who have lost a loved one to this deadly disease, to those who are currently suffering from COVID, and to those who are following CDC guidance. This dismissal of the need for commonsense public health protections is flat-out negligence and incompetence. It is reckless endangerment.

Now, to add insult to injury, Trump has walked away from all negotiations to pass a pandemic relief bill for the millions of Americans who have been hit hard by the economic fallout of this pandemic.

Trump's impetuous, erratic, self-centered choices will cause more death, suffering, and heartbreak for our country – if he can bring COVID to the White House, it can be brought to every house.

It simply didn't have to be this way.

As our country grapples with Donald Trump's catastrophic failure of leadership, I will continue to battle in the Senate to hold him accountable for recklessly endangering millions of Americans during this pandemic. But it couldn't be more critical for me to hear from you directly about where you stand. So please, let me know now:
