NBC News: “Vote-by-mail restrictions in Mississippi leave voters frustrated and confused”

Republicans seem to be doing everything they can to suppress voters and make voting more difficult. 

 

Just look at Mississippi — one of a handful of Republican-led states that is refusing to expand absentee voting, even for vulnerable populations that are more susceptible to COVID-19.

When there are clear obstacles to voting, we must speak up. 

 

That’s why this week I submitted a legal filing in support of a lawsuit challenging Mississippi’s harmful vote-by-mail requirements that threaten to exclude voters.

 

Americans shouldn’t have to choose between casting their vote or exposure to COVID-19. Every American should be able to vote however they choose — whether that’s through the mail or at the voting booth. Team, if you agree, can you sign your name now?
