Greetings
Friend
--
The Lord abundantly blessed our second annual Celebration of
Carolina Values last night!
What a memorable event. We had a
wonderful audience at the site of the live broadcast, Prime Barbecue
in Knightdale. (Let’s just say if you haven’t tasted their
intensely flavorful brisket yet, you haven’t truly lived.) We
gathered out on the lawn beside a cathedral of tall pine trees with a
soft chorus of crickets, twinkly lights overhead, and the stars
above. It really was a
magical evening. Nary a mosquito or cicada. Ah, autumn…
We enjoyed
inspiring and informative messages by some extraordinary elected
officials. North Carolina
is truly blessed with great leaders!
They stressed the need to
battle for our values of life, family & religious liberty at this
critical time in our nation’s history and to engage in this epic
election.
Tami interviewed our honored keynote speaker, Gianna
Jessen. Gianna has a truly
remarkable faith and an ability to articulate it. Her story of surviving an
abortion, and its aftermath, was heartbreaking, but her life lessons
were heartwarming. Such
rare authenticity. We were moved to tears and laughed out
loud.
Gianna Jessen — “This is a war we
are in… We need to not be passive. What’s so heartening about this
night is that I’m surrounded by people who are actually doing
something, but with such grace and such kindness and such courage….
With every life spared from abortion, generations are
spared.”
Feedback from a few of our
supporters:
-
“What an incredible Celebration tonight!
Thank you to each of you at NC Values for your steadfast work for our
state. You are empowering like-minded citizens of NC with tools to be
able to engage and have an impact on what is taking place in our
state. Other than casting a vote I always felt helpless or apathetic.
But thanks to your communication and sharing of information, we can
all roll up our sleeves and get to work alongside you. Truly a very
special evening!” -
Margaret M.
-

strong conservative, Christian leaders was such an encouragement. You guys did an excellent job
pulling this all together.
My guests were very interested and impressed. Keep up the great work. God bless you all!” - Pam
M., house party host

Coalition! Not many states
have an organization like this.” - Janice M.

gathering. It was refreshing. Well done good and faithful
servants. - Bobbie B.
-
“Coming together last night to stand against encroaching evil in
public policy was more a family gathering of like-minded patriots than
a political event. Thank you for the positive information, strong
leadership, and hope.” Patrick Y.
-

Remarks made by some of our fantastic
speakers:
-
Fred Von Canon, Candidate for State House District 35
— Tami Fitzgerald is a force of nature.
-
State Senator Joyce Krawiec — We haven’t been
able to get much done since Gov Cooper came into office. With a
Governor Dan Forest, it’s going to be a completely different game….
Thank you Tami and the NC Values Coalition for what you do to support
and protect the unborn.
-
Speaker Tim Moore — I want to thank Tami
Fitzgerald. So many people in this state have no idea of the time and
the effort and the spirit with which you come and fight for the values
that mean so much to North Carolina. I want to personally thank you
for everything you do.
-
Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby — What happens if
you have courts that refuse to enforce the protections of these
constitutions of your God-given rights? It’s vital that we have judges
who understand and follow the law.”
-
State Treasurer Dale Folwell — It’s not easy to
receive awards like this.
It’s the spouses of public servants that we’re standing on the
shoulders of.
-
Congressman Richard Hudson — I want to thank
every supporter of NC Values Coalition for all you do to stand up for
family values, defend life and support religious
freedom.
-
State Senator Phil Berger — I want to thank the
NC Values Coalition. The work you do is timely, persuasive and
unbelievably important. I
cannot overstate that point. Tami Fitzgerald and her team have done an
amazing job. They’ve stayed true to time-honored, traditional beliefs…
They’ve been the voice for North Carolina’s families and communities
of faith. I cannot thank
them enough.
-
E.C. Sykes, Candidate for NC Secretary of State —
NC Values and Tami Fitzgerald are leaders standing for our
values. You can count on
them to stand even when the culture pushes against them. We are
grateful for their bold stand, their sacrifice and
consistency.
-
Lt. Governor Dan Forest, Candidate for Governor —
We can’t afford another 4 years of a Governor who undermines these
values. A Governor who orders churches closed, and who vetoes a bill
that would protect a baby born alive after a failed
abortion.
-
Senator Thom Tillis: Thank you all for being a
part of the Celebration of Carolina Values. We must celebrate our
shared values of hard work, family, and most importantly faith. Those
values are being tested now more than ever.
-
Congressman Dan Bishop - I support the NC Values
Coalition because their unwavering commitment to life, liberty and
family has never been more important than now.
-
Senator Ted Cruz - The President’s decision to
nominate Judge Barrett to the US Supreme Court may well have been the
most important decision of his presidency.
-
Mark Robinson, candidate for Lt. Governor — Let’s vote our values and
move this state forward.
-
Congressman Mark Walker — George Washington knew
that if this country was going to be great, the power was not to come
from top down, it had to come from we the people. There are
many in government that would like to silence your voices. That’s why it’s time more than
ever to get out and vote…. I urge you this evening to engage, make a
difference. NC Values is
making a huge difference both in Raleigh and in DC. Both on the state level and the
national level.
