The
pandemic is far from over but Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are ready
to give up on the American people struggling from the effect of COVID-19.

1 in 7 essential workers lack health care, the federal minimum wage is
still $7.25 per hour, and the federal government has sent out a single
$1,200 check over 6 months ago — all while we are going through a pandemic
and economic struggle like we’ve never seen before.

But instead of sitting down and finding a solution to help the American
people stay afloat, Trump and McConnell are walking away as Democrats like
Ro are desperately working to get aid to the people.

Ro fought hard for families to receive a $2,000 monthly stimulus check
under the Emergency Money for the People Act that he helped introduce on
the House floor. That’s because Ro knew "a one-time, $1,200 check isn't
going to cut it."

sure that the American people come first, especially while so many are

This pandemic is far from over — and it’s only getting worse. It’s
estimated that 40,000 more Americans will become infected with COVID-19 in
the next 24 hours while hundreds of thousands file for unemployment, soon
to join the 35 million who won’t be able to pay the rent next month.

But senators like McConnell don’t care about getting people the help they
need if it means putting in more hours on the Senate floor to guarantee
more aid for American families. It’s not the leadership this country
deserves and it has to change.
