Congressman Crenshaw here,

This week, I am continuing to highlight the positive developments on flood mitigation and readiness that I've helped secure for Houston. I also am reminding people about Democrat priorities and am calling out Democrat leadership for blocking further COVID relief.

Please reach out to my offices if you have a concern, want to hear what we’re working on in Congress, or are having trouble with a federal agency. I have a full team in Texas and in the nation's capital ready to assist you. Be sure to stay up to date by following me on TwitterFacebook, and YouTube. For a behind-the-scenes look, follow my staff's official Instagram account.

Now, let's catch up.

big steps taken for flood mitigation in houston
Making our community more resilient to flooding has been a top priority for me since I came to Congress. I have been proud to work with local leaders to advance flood mitigation efforts in Houston.

Two projects, specifically for the Kingwood community, will help reduce vulnerability from the south and the San Jacinto River and also help reduce the threat from inadequate land management due to expanding development.

These projects are critical to make our community more resilient and I will continue to fight to make Houston better prepared for future floods.

here's the truth about covid relief

Democrats are not telling the truth when it comes to COVID relief.

Nancy Pelosi, in her own words, believes that “nothing is better than something.” That is why small businesses are struggling to keep their doors open. That is why unemployed Americans are not getting relief. And that is why students and their families continue to struggle.

This is unacceptable and shameless. Do not fall for their false narratives.

REMINDER: THESE ARE THE DEMOCRAT PRIORITIES

What would it be like if Democrats controlled all three branches of government? Well, one indication of what that would look like is to review all of the radical proposals Nancy Pelosi has passed out of the House this Congress.

Things like using your taxpayer dollars to fund political campaigns, government takeover of the internet, reducing your access to new drugs, and destroying independent contracting are all part of the Democrat agenda this Congress. You may not have paid much attention to these bills because Republicans in the Senate never agreed to these radical proposals.

But if Democrats had control over the House, the Senate, and the White House, many of these bills would be signed into law and that would have serious consequences for your lives and for our country.
