John,

The Republican Party of Arizona has been working hard to deliver a fun and safe experience on Election Night for Republicans so that we can all meet together (in person) to celebrate the historic re-election of President Trump and all of our other great Republican nominees down the ballot. Several weeks ago, we sent out a "Save the Date" notice to our nominees, legislators, and elected state party leaders, stating our intention to host this event at a well-known venue in Phoenix.

Due to Mayor Kate Gallego’s tyrant-like policies, this venue had to put in place very stringent COVID-19 restrictions, including major occupancy level restrictions and social distancing rules. Not only this, but we were also presented with evolving and credible security concerns due to the radical left's violent tendencies, which we've seen on full display across America.

Given the intense political climate, as well as the nature of the downtown Phoenix area, the Republican Party of Arizona determined it could not adequately ensure the safety of all of its guests while hosting this event as originally planned. For this reason, we successfully canceled our contract with the venue and received a full refund.

Fortunately, planning under highly uncertain circumstances is something the State Party is not new to this year. We continue to adapt and plan in preparation for our Election Night Party, and we hope to announce a new destination in the coming days. We are very excited to celebrate with all of our Republican Party members and can’t wait to host a welcoming, safe, and unforgettable event for all of you on November 3rd!

Keeping Arizona Red,
Dr. Kelli Ward
Chairwoman
Republican Party of Arizona
