RISING FOR A JUST WORLD!

We are living at a time of staggering converging crises: a raging pandemic
that's disproportionately harmed Black, Brown and Indigenous communities;
climate crises from coast to coast and blatant attacks from white
nationalists, who are explicitly enabled by the current administration.
IT'S TIME TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER. IT'S TIME TO HOLD ELECTED OFFICIALS
ACCOUNTABLE. IT'S TIME FOR A MORAL RECKONING.
On October 17, RISING MAJORITY [2] invites you to join a brilliant panel of
international jurors, including Angela Y. Davis, Alfred Woodfox, Raquel
Willis, Oscar Lopez Rivera, Tom Goldtooth, Arundhati Roy, among others, for
a PEOPLE'S TRIBUNAL. The jurors and viewers will hear testimonies from
frontline communities across the country on issues ranging from climate to
education. We will learn what it takes to defend democracy and secure human
rights and justice for all in the face of an onslaught of attacks from our
elected officials who are meant to protect all, not just a privileged few.
On October 18, Rising Majority will host a PEOPLE'S CONGRESS where you
will learn what it takes to build collective power and skills for a just
world. Rising Majority invites you to bring your stories, families and
communities to the tribunal and congress. A pathway to a just future is not
only possible, it's already being shaped by grassroots movements and
frontline communities. It's time to amplify people-powered and community
and worker-centered narratives for hope, equity and dignity.

tribunal y al congreso. Un camino hacia un futuro justo no solo es posible,
sino que ya está siendo moldeado por movimientos de base y comunidades de
primera línea. Es hora de amplificar las narrativas de esperanza, equidad
y dignidad centradas en las personas y en la comunidad y los trabajadores.
