Hi  John,

I took advantage of early in-person voting last week. Have you voted yet? If not, do you have a plan to vote?

NBC News has an excellent resource, Plan Your Vote[[link removed]], which provides information on early in-person voting, absentee voting, and more for each state. Secular American Votes[[link removed]] has great information on voter registration, voter engagement, and get-out-the-vote information.

The League of Women Voters provides another great resource -- Vote411[[link removed]] -- that allows you to see all the candidates appearing on your ballot so you can make an informed vote up and down the ballot, on or before, November 3.

There are only 25 days until the general election, and over 7 million Americans have already cast their ballot.

In addition, please make sure your like-minded friends and relatives are registered, have a plan to vote, and are informed about the candidates. If they need help in voting, make sure you get them the resources they need. Use your personal contacts and social media to make these important connections to turn out more voters.

Your active political engagement will help to promote evidence-based public policy to effectively address the issues that confront us – like climate change and the pandemic. Your active engagement will help build a society you are proud to live in.

If that is not enough of a reason to become more politically engaged, just consider that your active participation in the political process will help counter the white Christian nationalists that are far too powerful in our political culture, and help bring their bigoted, anti-science, racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, and homophobic crusade to an end. Personally, this is the motivation that gets me into work every day and makes sure I am fully engaged in every election.

Last, you can make an investment in the Freethought Equality Fund to support our endorsed atheist and humanist candidates - an allies - to build our community's visiblity, promote evidence-based public policy, and protect the secular character of our government. [[link removed]]

You can see all our endorsed candidates here[[link removed]].

Thank you for your membership and support.

Sincerely,

Ron Millar
PAC Coordinator
