Happy Friday!
Did you see that Donald Trump is backing out of the second scheduled presidential debate? (He even refused to do virtual one, so we know it's not out of concern for safety.) I'm not surprised, John.
Once he heard that there would be new debate rules that would limit his ability to interrupt and steal time from Joe Biden, he wanted no part in a fair, civil discussion about policy.
Last presidential debate, during one of his several disruptive interjections, Trump couldn't resist the opportunity to sabotage mail-in voting, once again disparaging my name and my primary election.
It seems like he'll do anything to win this election, except actually answer for his administration's shortcomings and provide Americans with effective plans for our future. Because he knows he doesn't have a leg to stand on.
I will continue holding Trump liable for his failed leadership and his lack of accountability to the American people, but I need your help to make sure I'm there in Congress to fight back. Will you pitch in?

Debates are an important part of the campaign process where the public can hear from candidates on both sides about their record, opinions, policy proposals, and plans of action. This is essential for voters to make educated decisions before casting their ballots.
But clearly, President Trump has no regard for the democratic process and wants to keep Americans in the dark. He would rather spew baseless attacks and distract us with his outrageous, disorderly behavior than provide us with facts or the truth about his poor leadership.
We simply can't trust leaders who refuse to be transparent about their intentions for our country's future. And time is running out to take a stand.
Democrats need to come together if we're going to take away Trump's power and restore accountability in the White House -- up and down the ballot -- starting with our race right here in NY-12. Can I count on you to stand with us by rushing a contribution to my campaign today?

Thanks for being in this fight!
