This is it, y'all. Tonight I am going to debate John Cornyn. Voters will finally get the opportunity to hear us both, side by side, explain our visions for Texas' future.

Here's what you'll hear from me: I'm a working mom, and I've worried about how I'll afford health care and pay the mortgage. I'm a combat veteran, and after being shot down in Afghanistan, I have no doubt about just how seriously I'll take my oath to our country. I understand the challenges Texas families are dealing with every day, and I'm ready to serve our country again and fight for the solutions Texans urgently need.

Meanwhile, Sen. Cornyn has spent 18 years doling out favors to his billionaire backers and special interest donors. He spent valuable time downplaying the pandemic, while it spread throughout Texas. Then, he called expanded unemployment insurance for people who lost their jobs due to the pandemic a "mistake." After two decades in Washington, he's completely out of touch with our reality -- it's no wonder he hasn't accepted my challenge to two more debates.
