Hello,
Public education was an opportunity and a refuge for me — it's how I became the person I am today. That's why I have made it my mission to ensure that every Richmond Public Schools student has access to a quality education.
I'm introducing a plan to make sure every child in Richmond has access to preschool education. Early childhood education is so important, and I'm committed to making this plan a reality.
Two public education champions — First Lady Pam Northam and former Virginia Secretary of Education Anne Holton — have already endorsed my plan for universal pre-K, as well as my re-election campaign.
We can make universal pre-K a reality, friend. But only with your support. If, like me, you're not done building equity and equal opportunity in our city, please chip in toward my re-election campaign so we can keep fighting for Richmond's future.

Every child — no matter their zip code, their family's income, or their skin color — deserves the best Richmond has to offer.
That's why I fought to fund the construction of three new schools serving Black and Brown communities in the East End and Southside. It's why, as promised during my first campaign, every elementary and middle school student in RVA now has access to after-school programs.
And it's why I'm going back to the table to bring universal pre-K to every child in Richmond. Let's make it happen — together.
Chip in to my re-election campaign today. Even just $5 will help power our team to victory.
