REPUBLICAN PARTY OF NEW MEXICO STATEMENT ON TONIGHT’S 3RD CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT DEBATE
ALBUQUERQUE, OCTOBER 8 — The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce on this evening’s KOB-TV-Santa Fe New Mexican debate between Alexis Johnson and Teresa Leger Fernandez:

“Tonight Alexis Johnson clearly showed viewers in the 3rd Congressional District why she deserves to go to Washington. Alexis demonstrated a firm command of the District’s key issues and successfully argued how her Republican values will change the course of what’s been failed Democratic representation under Rep. Lujan. Unlike Teresa Fernandez, Johnson offered real specifics on improving healthcare, addressing addiction and improving the lives of Native Americans. Alexis also called out how Teresa Fernandez’s leftist agenda would lead to further decline for the District. Alexis was on target when she stated ‘it’s time to open the doors of opportunity’ in Northern New Mexico and end ‘the politics and status quo’ that’s failed constituents. Alexis offered a sound vision as she promoted her plans for job growth, greater economic development and improved healthcare.”
