John,

Nearly 4 million acres.

That's the level of destruction that this fire season has wreaked on our beautiful state. After nearly 4 million acres burned, 96,000 people evacuated, and over 30 lives lost to these fires, it's hard to stomach the level of destruction we've seen here.

And that makes Tom McClintock's repeated acceptance of Pacific Gas & Electric's corporate PAC checks all the more sickening. According to The Wall Street Journal, PG&E's faulty equipment led to more than 1,500 fires from 2014 to 2017 alone -- as well as the more recent Camp and Kincade Fires, which forced tens of thousands to flee their homes.

Brynne Kennedy doesn't accept corporate PAC checks because she won't be beholden to any special interests -- and she definitely doesn't cozy up to companies like PG&E. In fact, she'll hold them accountable like never before.

John, rejecting corporate PAC checks means Brynne needs grassroots donors like us to help build this movement. Can you pitch in $5 to stop sending PG&E's interests to Washington -- instead of ours?

As it turns out, Tom's not great at his job -- he's had 38 years to help California prevent wildfires, and he's done nothing. In 2017, he voted against a bill providing relief for California's wildfire victims. He also opposed a bipartisan budget deal that would provide tax relief for wildfire victims, and then voted for a bill that eliminated a tax deduction for California property owners who suffered wildfire losses.

Instead, Tom's accepted tens of thousands of dollars from PG&E -- and he's never held them accountable for improper maintenance of our power system.

Brynne Kennedy knows that preventing wildfires is not a partisan issue. She will push the federal government to finally take care of California forests -- after all, 57% of our forests fall under federal control. She'll use our tax code to incentivize new home insurance solutions and restore tax deductions for victims of wildfire losses -- but she can only do that with your help.

Brynne Kennedy is the right candidate to lead us out of this mess, hold PG&E accountable, and start putting the people of CA-04 first. So please, chip in $5 or whatever you can so we can send her to Washington to fight for us.
