John, as we’re
inching closer and closer to Election Day, I want to share a story on my
mind about my first race two years ago.

I ran for Congress in 2018 because I was tired of corrupt officials and
special interests taking advantage of working families like mine, and I
wanted to do something to put an end to their powerful control of our
government. A Democrat hadn’t represented this district in decades—but our
movement to flip it blue grew stronger by the day. After a tough battle
against Republican incumbent Mimi Walters, the race was still
neck-and-neck on Election Day.

By the end of the day, we wanted so badly to celebrate a win, but the
results were too close to make a call.

So we decided to sleep on it, and waited to hear results the next day. And
then the next day. And then the next day.

To be honest,
John, I thought that I had lost.
We were being told that the numbers didn’t look promising, and I started
to call supporters and thank them for all their efforts even though we
fell short.

But a little over a week later, the race was called...and we ended up
making history. We officially flipped this district blue, and this single
working mother of three was heading to Congress.

A lot has happened since then, and it has been an honor serving my
community during my first term.

I’m running for re-election because working families deserve to be
represented in Congress now more than ever. And I’m not done fighting.

My right-wing opponent is working hard to take back our district this
year. With your support, we can keep building our momentum to win outright
this time around, and show that our movement is just getting started.

[ [link removed] ]John, your
contribution today—no matter how much—will help our team turn out as many
voters as possible to keep this district blue. As we enter the final
stretch of this race, can you please pitch in $15 or anything you can to
power this campaign, help me stay in Congress, and continue our fight for
working families?
