Christopher Columbus: Myth vs. Fact ([link removed])
Dear
John xxxxxx,
They laughed at me when I said Columbus was a hero…

But when I showed them the facts…

...everything started to change.

All those made-up myths against Christopher Columbus began to crumble.

“So, Columbus wasn’t a villain after all?” asked one student.

“Of course not!” I replied.

“But my anthropology professor disagrees with you. He said Columbus was responsible for genocide,” continued the student. “What do you say to that?”

Students listened. Some snickered. And one whispered: “How is he going to answer that one? He doesn’t know more than our Ivy League-educated professor.”

Before I could even start to answer, a radical leftist in the room (with rainbow colored hair & BLM t-shirt) interrupted me. (No manners).

“We’re NOT doing Columbus Day anymore,” he belted.

“It’s Indiginous Peoples’ Day now or nothing!”

He got on his “woke” soapbox:

“Listen. We need to rip down all the [expletive] Columbus statues and spend our energy saving the trees – like Greta Thunberg. For every statue we rip down, we can plant 5 trees.”

Well, thank God, I was ready to answer.

Because my TFP colleagues just launched this amazing article & video:

> 10 Things People Get Wrong About Columbus ([link removed])

The timing of the video was perfect. And when I used some of the facts, it made a visible impact.

For example, I was able to debunk the “genocide” accusation, plus other common myths leveled against Columbus, such as…

Myth 1: The Indians lived in peace, which was ruined by Columbus.
Myth 2: Columbus brought slavery to the New World.
Myth 3: Columbus and his men spread diseases.

Once you see the video ([link removed]) , you will understand why students like it so much.

“My liberal school always talked about how horrible Colombus was,” said David, but “this video changed my mind.”

After watching the video ([link removed]) , Oscar says:

“I’m planning on wearing my Knights of Columbus t-shirt on Columbus Day on my college campus. I’m sure I’ll get some weird looks.”

Maria exclaimed:

“Well done. I didn’t know any of this about Columbus and I’m glad I have some weapons now to defend him.”

You see, the Left hates Columbus because it hates Christianity, which is the foundation of Western civilization.

So, you and I should have no qualms about celebrating Columbus Day.

We need to honor this great man who spread the Gospel and civilized a hemisphere.

In a letter after Columbus’ first voyage, he gives us the best reason to continue celebrating:

“Let Christ rejoice upon earth as he does in heaven, to witness the coming salvation of so many people, heretofore given over to perdition. Let us rejoice for the exaltation of our faith, as well as for the augmentation of our temporal prosperity, in which not only Spain but all Christendom shall participate.”

Please share this video ([link removed]) with every student you know.

The truth must be told.

Thank you so much for fighting the good fight.
