Friends,
Congress is back in session after the August recess.
The conversations we had during our district work period were invaluable, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend so much time focused on the needs of my constituents in the First District.
As a member of Congress, it's important to me that I remain accessible to the people I serve -- and that's exactly why we put more than 1,700 miles on the car to meet with Granite Staters in communities all over the district.
We visited 26 towns and attended 52 events. We hosted town halls in Tamworth, Londonderry, Hooksett, and Kensington as well as ‘Coffees with Chris’ in Hampton, North Conway, Dover, and Hooksett.
At each stop I heard concerns about the rising costs of healthcare and prescription drugs, as well as the critical need for action on common-sense solutions to end the epidemic of gun violence in our country.
Now I am back in D.C. and ready to get to work always keeping the needs of Granite Staters in mind. September will be a busy month as we dive back into passing meaningful policies that will better the lives of Americans.
Thank you for being part of the reason I have these opportunities. I'm looking forward to my next visits, and I hope to see you soon!
Best,
Chris
