This is a long (but very important) email about why I first got into this race. I hope you’ll take a moment to read it, then chip in $10 or more to help me flip CA-08 from red to blue.

I spent my career working in healthcare, so protecting and expanding health care is an important issue for me.

I know first-hand the importance of having access to high-quality healthcare, both of my parents depended on long-term care before they passed away. My daughter, Ellie, has epilepsy and I had to fight tooth and nail with the insurance companies that tried to deny her care.

When the ACA first came under attack, I was furious.

When Donald Trump got to the White House and tried to completely destroy the ACA, I could no longer sit on the sidelines.

I’m running because this issue is personal for myself and so many in my community. But my right-wing opponent has already sworn to side with Trump and cut the Affordable Care Act.

We can’t risk another ally in Trump’s the fight to destroy health care, so I must ask:

Will you help me prevent another Trump rubber stamp from getting to Congress? Every single donation will help us do more in the final stretch of this campaign.
