At the start of this quarter, we set an ambitious fundraising goal of $350,000 to help fuel our campaign's critical work moving into the general election. And thanks to this team's hard work, we not only met our end-of-quarter fundraising goal — we exceeded it by over $8,000!
This is an impressive feat, John. It's even more impressive when you think about the fact that our campaign is largely supported by grassroots donors who give $3, $5, $10, or even $25 at a time — folks like you, donating what they can to make sure our progressive movement gets as much support as it can. And because of this team's hard work last quarter, I'm one step closer to getting to Congress to fight for working families and shake up the status quo.Now, we turn our attention to the next major deadline: Election Day, which is in 26 days. And this year, we can't treat Election Day as a one-day event — we must treat it as a deadline.
Many folks are already casting their ballots or making plans to vote, and our team is organizing hard over the next 3.5 weeks to make sure that everyone in NY-16 and beyond is registered to vote, has a plan to cast their ballot, and knows what's on the line.
This election is critical to the future of our democracy, which is why we're going above and beyond what campaigns usually do to make sure that we turn out as many folks as possible.
