Last night, we saw Kamala Harris take the debate stage -- and show the country what a smart, strong woman leader looks like. 

We know that the burden of this pandemic has fallen disproportionately on women, and especially on women of color. Women are four times as likely as men to have taken a step back from the workforce, as families across the country face a childcare and education crisis on top of a health crisis.

We have an opportunity this fall to elect and re-elect candidates who know exactly what women across the country are dealing with right now. Onward Together is proud to support a number of those candidates, including Gina Ortiz Jones, a veteran working to flip Texas’s 23rd House District; Christy Smith, a public school advocate and former Department of Education employee running in California’s 25th Congressional District; and Joyce Elliott, a life-long Arkansan and committed public servant who’s ready to represent her community in Congress.

In 2018, we elected a historic class of women to Congress and to state houses. We can do it again -- but these candidates need to have the resources to communicate with and turn out voters.
