Donald Trump is using the same FAKE-POPULIST ECONOMIC STRATEGY he used to win critical Midwestern states like Michigan in 2016.

Recently, Trump declared: “YOU’D BETTER VOTE FOR ME MICHIGAN. I GOT YOU SO MANY CAR PLANTS.” That’s a flat-out lie. Under Trump, thousands of autoworkers lost their jobs and the last General Motors plant in Detroit shuttered its doors.

That’s why Our Revolution is investing in organizing working-class voters across the Midwest to speak-out and expose Trump’s lies so we can flip back the 12 “pivot counties” in Michigan that voted for Obama-Biden in 2008 and 2012 but then switched to Trump.

Last night, we held a virtual Get Out the Vote Rally in Michigan with Congresswoman RASHIDA TLAIB, Congressman ANDY LEVIN, and DISPLACED FACTORY WORKERS who are sick of Trump’s lies devastating their communities.

TEANA DOWDELL — a UAW member who worked at the now-closed GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant — talked about how she was forced to take a transfer to the GM plant in Flint — a 90 minute commute from home.

TRUMP PROMISED TO KEEP FACTORIES OPEN, AND HIS BETRAYAL IS UPENDING THE LIVES OF WORKERS LIKE TEANA. Who better to expose Trump’s lies than the workers who were hurt directly?
