If Mike Pence had even just the slightest respect for the health and safety of the American people, he wouldn’t have debated our next Vice President last night.

According to the CDC’s guidelines -- which, as we all know, have been improperly influenced by the Trump administration as it is -- people who’ve come into contact with someone who’s tested positive for COVID-19 must quarantine for 14 days. That, of course, includes Mike Pence, who attended last week’s Rose Garden super-spreader event with at least seven GOP attendees who’ve contracted the virus.

And yet, Mike Pence decided to blatantly defy our national protocol to get whopped by Senator Harris on live TV in front of millions of viewers.

We all would have been better off if he had just stayed home.

Last night, Senator Harris displayed the intelligence, the compassion, and the moral courage that will make her a phenomenal Vice President, and she showed the nation that a Biden-Harris ticket is the only way forward.
