One year ago today, my husband was already running for Senate, and folks were just starting to hear about Dr. Al Gross's prescription for change.

But this campaign and our lives looked nothing like they do right now.

Last year, Al had a long shot at defeating Dan Sullivan. Today, this race is a toss up with multiple tied polls.

Last year, everyone counted Alaska out and said it was a solid red state. Today, it has been added to almost every major Senate battleground map.

Last year, Al had a dream of bringing his prescription for change to Washington. Today, you are making that dream a reality, John.

Every time you have stepped up, every moment you have spoken out, every dollar you have chipped in has made a difference -- and you're the reason we're here today: on the road to defeating Dan Sullivan, ditching Mitch McConnell, and flipping the Senate.
