While the GOP remains focused on one man's effort to turn his
own COVID infection into Reality TV, millions of Americans
continue to suffer, and Trump has called off any negotiations
over desperately needed COVID-19 relief. Instead, the president
and his Senate GOP enablers are intent on trying to rush through
the confirmation of a new Supreme Court Justice in order to kill
the Affordable Care Act.

That's right. In the middle of a pandemic, their priority is
literally to take health care away from millions! This is a new
low -- even for Trump.

Ten months after the White House was first informed about the
threat posed by the pandemic, more than 210,000 Americans have
died, and over 7,400,000 million have been infected by the virus,
tens of millions have lost their jobs, and our economy is in
peril.

The American people deserve a government that cares about their
safety and well-being and is motivated to act on their behalf,
not just to advance the President's personal political agenda.

Unfortunately, Americans suffering from COVID-19 don't have
access to many of the experimental treatments that President
Trump received during his stay at Walter Reed Hospital right here
in Maryland. And if Trump has his way, they won't even have
access to their health care plans.

We can't let Republicans destroy the Affordable Care Act and
take away protections for people with preexisting conditions in
the middle of a pandemic.
