Hi John, I wanted to make sure you saw that the National Immigrant Justice Center's Virtual 5K Run/Walk/Wheel for Immigrant Justice week is coming up soon from Sunday, November 8, 2020 through Sunday, November 15, 2020! Make sure you sign up before next Monday, October 12th to get a free T-shirt with your registration: bit.ly/NIJC5K2020. We can't guarantee a T-shirt if you register after the 12th! T-shirts will feature the event logo (pictured above) representing everyone's different trails and routes, converging in a maple leaf, which is not only fitting for the season but is also an homage to Goshen, Indiana, known as "The Maple City" where NIJC has an office. By participating, you will fund legal services for people like Yesenia, who is a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient and a nurse in the COVID-19 unit at her local hospital in Indiana. Without DACA, Yesenia would not be able to provide her patients with the medical care that they need during this global pandemic. Like many other DACA recipients, Yesenia relies on NIJC for legal services needed to renew DACA.
