Like so many Americans, I don’t want our democracy to be anything but fair. That’s why I’ve voted in Congress time and time again to expand access to the ballot box and make it easier for people to vote.

But the voter suppression efforts coming from the White House and GOP during this election cycle is not only infuriating -- it’s frightening.

Here in Nevada, Donald Trump has kept a close eye on our attempts to make voting easier during a pandemic. When we weighed our options for mail-in voting -- he threatened to take away our federal funding. And when we passed mail-in voting, he made a failed attempt to sue our state.

Trump’s attempts to undermine the integrity of our democracy are dangerous.

Despite their historic voter suppression efforts -- I believe that we can make this election unmistakably in favor of Democrats if we can ensure that everyone has an opportunity to vote.
