This year marks 75 years of recognizing National Disability Employment Awareness Month and 30 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed - two significant milestones in building more inclusive, welcoming workplaces for people with autism. Though we continue to make progress toward creating more accepting workplaces for autistic people, national data indicate that the majority of adults with autism are either unemployed or underemployed. Autism Speaks is committed to changing this statistic.
