Hi John,

I’m still reeling from watching the Vice Presidential Debate last night.

The debate made one thing clear: the biggest wedge between Biden-Harris and Trump-Pence is the climate crisis. Poll after poll show: If Democrats go on offense with their plans to address the climate crisis and create millions of good jobs, they will win this election.

They will win because everyday people know that this crisis needs bold leadership to fight wildfires, drought, and hurricanes, and also to create good jobs in a time when millions of Americans are unemployed. The good news? This November, we have a chance to elect leaders who are unabashedly championing a Green New Deal in two critical states! [[link removed]]

Few places know the devastation of the fossil fuel economy like West Virginia. For Paula Jean Swearengin, this isn’t just an idea -- it’s her family’s story. Born in the hills of West Virginia, Paula Jean lost her father, a former coal miner, to black lung disease. Now, she’s running for the U.S. Senate to clean up pollution and bring good jobs to her state. Not only that, but she is one of the progressives running who can help us flip the Senate and pass a Green New Deal!

Paula Jean is running a people-powered campaign for a green transition in West Virginia. Will you sign up RIGHT NOW to help Paula Jean flip the U.S. Senate and shock the country by making calls to voters this Sunday, October 11? [[link removed]]

In my home state, Michigan, we are not only fighting to win this critical swing state in the electoral college, but we have one of the best opportunities to end the career of one of Big Oil’s favorite Congressmen and elect a Green New Deal champion in the “Bible Belt of the Midwest.” Jon Hoadley is a state representative running to end corruption from Big Oil because he’s seen the impacts on his state. Despite having the largest inland oil spill in U.S. history in his district, his opponent has taken over $2 million from fossil fuel companies since being in office. This must end.

Jon Hoadley’s race is neck and neck. Will you help us end Big Oil’s favorite Congressman and prove the Green New Deal can win in the Midwest by making calls to elect Jon Hoadley in Michigan on Monday, Oct 12? [[link removed]]

With your help, we can prove that candidates championing a bold, equitable, and clear plan to address the climate crisis and mass unemployment will win. We can shock the nation this November, but only if you join us.

See you on the phones.
