Friends,

During yesterday's debate, I called out my opponent for his reckless behavior that is putting people at risk during this pandemic.

In just the last few weeks:
* Pete has bragged on social media about walking around without a mask in venues jam-packed with over 200 people.
* When Trump landed in Minneapolis last week, Stauber was one of the first to greet him, and reporters stated that no masks were in sight.
* Just after being exposed to COVID-19 by the President, Stauber continued to attend crowded events without a mask and even flew a commercial airline, putting countless people at risk.

Look, I'm truly relieved that the President seems to be on the mend from the coronavirus and that Pete Stauber has tested negative for it. I wouldn't wish it upon anybody.

But we also have to remember that not everybody has access to the level of healthcare that wealthy politicians and the President of the United States have.

The typical American does not have the luxury of downplaying the coronavirus.

As someone with Type 1 diabetes, I'm at high risk of complications.

So when it comes to this virus, negligence is something that I, and so many others, can quite literally NOT afford — financially or medically. Especially when that ignorance is coming directly from our leaders.

Unless we all remain diligent and continue to take this pandemic seriously, for ourselves and for others, it’s going to be increasingly difficult to recover from.

And our elected officials MUST be the first ones to lead by example.

This type of careless leadership is utterly devastating. The lack of regard for our lives is heartbreaking. We need leaders who will listen to science, heed the advice of medical experts, prioritize public health, and act responsibly when it comes to our safety.

That's why I pledge to always put your health and wellbeing above political agendas and partisan interests. Anything short of the highest level of caution is simply unacceptable when American lives are at stake.

Will you pitch in to my campaign today so that I can fight to protect your health in Congress and give you the leadership you deserve? [[link removed]]

Thank you for your support. Please take care of yourselves (and each other).
Quinn
