Dear John,
Did you watch the Vice Presidential debate last night? Sen. Kamala Harris gave a command performance, proving once again that she is a champion for reproductive freedom.
For Mike Pence, his attempt to defend the indefensible was no surprise. But it was NOTABLE that Pence declined to admit that he wants ban abortion. This is the man who said he wanted to see "Roe v. Wade consigned to the ash heap of history.” This is the Vice President to a man who said there “has to be some form of punishment” for women who have abortions. And this is an administration that has worked daily for four years to make that dangerous vision a reality.
And yet, in this final month of the campaign, they won’t admit their real agenda — and the explicit platform of their party — to ban abortion and overturn Roe.
Why?
Because they know that the vast majority of people in this country support access to abortion and want us all to have the freedom to control our bodies, lives, and futures. We’ve done the polling in the states to prove it.
