John,

A majority of Americans believe that any nomination to fill Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat on the Supreme Court should be delayed until after the inauguration on January 20, 2021.

Let’s be clear, the election is already underway, with more than 5.5 million votes cast. The people’s voices matter in this process.

But Mitch McConnell is moving full speed ahead with Donald Trump’s extreme right-wing nomination, flying in the face of both the Democratic process and a dangerous coronavirus outbreak on Capitol Hill.

Democrats and any remaining Republicans with a conscience must do everything in their power to slow down this process and prevent any nomination to Justice Ginsburg’s seat before the next presidential inauguration.

If you agree, we need your voice in this fight. Add your name to DFA’s petition today calling for NO VOTE on a new Supreme Court justice until the winner of this presidential election is sworn into office >>

Trump and McConnell are rushing to confirm a lifetime appointment to our nation’s highest court who will lock in their radical right-wing priorities for a generation.

That includes overturning Roe v. Wade, striking down the Affordable Care Act in the middle of a pandemic, and opening the floodgates for rampant voter suppression.

We can’t allow them to complete this nomination with an election already underway.

Over 5 million Americans have already voted. They deserve a say in who will fill Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat.

Add your name to our petition today calling on Congress to hold NO VOTE on any nominee to the Supreme Court before the winner of this election is sworn in on January 20, 2021 >>

We’re going to continue doing everything we can over the coming weeks to stop this nomination, flip the Senate, and defeat Donald Trump.

Thank you for adding your voice to this fight.
