You've probably heard me say that a record-breaking number of LGBTQ candidates are running for public office this year, and that Victory Fund has shattered our previous endorsement records. This inaugural report examines the vast diversity of the LGBTQ candidates running now, and how they compare to the overall candidate pool. You can dive into the full report and our data here! Here's a breakdown of the key findings. I've also included just some of our endorsed candidates that help make up these amazing numbers:

It's inspiring to know that so many LGBTQ people have stepped up to run. They do it knowing that they could face all manner of attacks, that their name, gender, sexual orientation or race will be put under a microscope and cross-examined for imagined flaws. And despite that, they choose to run and make our political process more equal. That's something we should all celebrate. And if you can power our work to elect all these amazing candidates, please click here! [[link removed]]
Hope you enjoy the report,
Elliot Imse

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
