Dear John,
Since my last email to you earlier today, 12 hours have gone by. That may not seem like a lot — but every hour counts until midnight on October 11.
That's because of the extraordinary opportunity we've been given to raise $50,000 in 100 hours and have every dollar you contribute matched by a generous donor named Bob Thistle, up to a total of $50,000. Bob has agreed to donate an extraordinary $50,000 to advance research in honor of his late foster brother, Jack — but only if we can raise the same amount in 100 hours. This opportunity ends at midnight October 11.
Your gift can be matched 2X through our $50,000 100-Hour Match Challenge, and your support helps provide care and support to those whose lives have been impacted by Alzheimer's disease and advance research.
The fight against Alzheimer's is critical. And this year's COVID-19 crisis has made it even more difficult for those living with Alzheimer's, their caregivers and families. It has only increased the urgency of advancing research and supporting those who need our help.
But we simply don't have much time to take advantage of this extraordinary opportunity. Please give generously knowing your gift can be matched, up to $50,000, to achieve 2X the impact.
With your gift today, you can DOUBLE your support of Alzheimer's research, provide caregivers with a community of support and training on how to make the most of their time with their loved one, and join with us to urge politicians to pass legislation that addresses this growing public health crisis.
We only have a short time to make a big difference during our $50,000 100-Hour Match Challenge. But we can do it if you'll join us today. Please don't miss this extraordinary opportunity when your first gift can make twice the impact for those impacted by Alzheimer's today.
More than 5 million Americans live with Alzheimer's, and 16 million caregivers provide extraordinary support. They're our neighbors, our friends and even members of our families; and they need our help.
By making your first gift to join with us today, you'll help to strengthen our community and serve those who need us 24/7 through our Helpline (800.272.3900) and alz.org/help-support where you can be provided care consultation, resources and local referrals for support while advancing research.
When you only have 100 hours to raise $50,000, every gift counts. And every dollar you contribute supports our vital mission as we lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Please make your gift now while your generosity can be matched 2X up to $50,000.
Thank you very much for the valued role you play in our community.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
P.S. Can we count on you to help meet our $50,000 100-Hour Match Challenge while your gift can make double the impact in the fight to end Alzheimer's?
