As students across the Commonwealth and the country begin a new school year, the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate prepares to provide them with a unique vantage point into the legislative process and our democracy.

Through innovative and nationally recognized educational programs, the Kennedy Institute provides a high-tech and hands-on learning experience that teaches the next generation how our government works and the skills of listening, compromise, and healthy debate that are needed to productively participate in our communities.

Here are just a few of the ways the Institute brings Senator Kennedy's vision to life:

We offer free access to Massachusetts students and teachers.
Last year, more than 22,000 students became senator for a day by participating in our Senate Immersion Module and other hands-on programs.

Gifts to the Martin W. Richard Bus Scholarship Fund help cover transportation costs to the Institute for youth and school groups from across Massachusetts.
