You know what I love more than almost anything else? Seeing a fellow Indian American woman making her mark on history. As trying and tumultuous as this election season has been, I was filled with pride watching Kamala Harris on the debate stage last night.

The seriousness and clarity with which she addressed the multiple crises now facing our nation, stood in sharp contrast to the utter chaos that has come out of the White House over the last four years.

The next few weeks are crucial to winning this election and ending the Trump-Pence nightmare. If you’re looking for a way to help out and get voters motivated to vote this year, we’ve got just the thing for you. We want you to be a part of the Big Send. It’s our campaign to “adopt” unlikely voters and send them personalized letters urging them to vote. 

Volunteers like you have already adopted 10 million voters. But from now until October 17th, we want to get to 15 million. Can you get in on the action and help us get there?

Getting started is easy! Just make your account, adopt your voters, and then start crafting your messages to them. Make sure you have your letters written and ready to be sent by October 17th. That’s when we’ll post our letters so they have time to arrive well before Election Day. 

What should you say in your letter? You could talk about how voting is our most important civic duty, or the pressing need to elect leaders who will effectively combat the COVID-19 crisis or protect health care -- or any other issue that’s close to your heart. That’s why I love this campaign: It’s a chance to persuade someone using your personal experience. In my letters, I talk about how much my parents sacrificed when they left their home to build a better future for me in America. Voting is my way to fight for change and build a better society for future generations, the same way my parents did for me.

You know how much is at stake in this election. Now is your chance to write to an unlikely voter and make sure they understand as well. It could make all the difference in states where things are looking close.
