We filed a lawsuit against Dick Van Dam Dairy in Southern California in response to an undercover investigation by Animal Outlook that exposed malicious acts of violence toward cows and gross neglect of calves. Dick Van Dam Dairy is a supplier to Dairy Farmers of America, which produces brands including Dairy Pure and TruMoo — sold at Target stores nationwide. We’ve contacted Target, urging the company to suspend selling these brands until it can assure consumers that its dairy suppliers meet Target’s corporate animal welfare policy.

We also released a brand new video, featuring actress Kate Mara, highlighting the animal cruelty caught on video during the investigation. The footage prompted us to file a lawsuit against the dairy and its management for violating state and local animal protection laws.

I know videos like these are difficult to watch, but it’s critical that the cruelty endemic to factory farms across the country is exposed and companies held accountable. Thank you for your unwavering compassion and support.
