El Dorado County Democratic Party's
Election Observer Panel
An invitation
October 8, 2020

Please accept our invitation to serve as an Election Observer at one of El Dorado County's 13 Vote Centers, which will be open from Oct. 31 through Election Day on November 3.

By becoming an Election Observer, you are ensuring Voters' Rights are being protected as voters cast their ballots at the Vote Centers throughout our County.

Attached El Dorado County Elections Office description of the Instructions for Election Observers.

A required Zoom training session will occur prior to Election Day. It will include a question and answer session, followed by an open discussion regarding your responsibilities as an Election Observer.

Note: Mask wearing and careful hygiene practices are required at the Vote Centers. Also, as much as possible, please practice 6 feet Social Distancing! It cannot be stressed enough that if you show any known signs and symptoms of COVID 19, please do NOT attend your shift. Contact your Vote Center Liaison and let them know you plan on being absent.

Some suggestions for scheduling:
  • First, fill in the two-hour shifts on November 3 which will be the busiest day
  • If you sign up for more than one (1) two hour shift, we encourage you to make your shifts on different days.

Thank you in advance for volunteering to be Election Observers (poll watchers) and/or Liaisons for the El Dorado County 2020 Election.

Sincerely,
Johanne, Gina and the El Dorado County Democrats Virtual Office team
