Climate was a central topic at last night's vice presidential debate. And that is thanks to this movement and active supporters like you.

We fought hard over the last year to put the climate crisis front and center in this upcoming election, because our planet cannot withstand four more years of Trump's disastrous anti-climate agenda.

As you read this, wildfires are raging in the west and record-breaking hurricanes continue to hit the Gulf Coast. Meanwhile, extreme weather and heat are destroying Black and Indigenous communities and communities of color at much higher rates than white communities.

Trump and Pence have directly acted to harm the rural and urban poor, every kind of worker, and Black communities by rolling back over 150 environmental protections, and it shows. Under their administration, we are worse off with 15 percent more unhealthy air days, an unchecked pandemic and rampant state violence.1

Your hard work has put climate on everyone’s agenda and to that end, Biden and Harris pledge to hold fossil fuel polluters accountable for the ongoing crimes they’ve perpetrated against people and the planet.
We're going to fight with everything we've got to elect Biden and Harris. Our movement will continue pushing our leaders to see through a swift end to fossil fuel handouts, holding fossil fuel companies accountable, and transitioning to a 100 percent clean energy economy.

But we cannot do it alone. So I am asking:

Can you make a contribution today so we can organize to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and defeat Trump in November?

In the last two debates, Trump and Pence denied the science, attacked the vision for a livable planet and specifically called out policies like the Green New Deal to protect their fossil fuel billionaire friends and distract from the fact that they have absolutely no plan to tackle the greatest existential crises of our time.

Pence's attempts to dismiss the Green New Deal failed again and again. Instead, he provided more airtime for our movement's vision to rebuild crumbling infrastructure, prioritize millions of jobs in renewable sectors, phase out toxic fossil fuels, and protect what matters.

We need to keep up the momentum and together, hold Biden and Harris to their word on real climate ambition. And through our collective power, we can create a historic voter turnout and pave the way to a brighter, just future.

Thank you for your support in this critical work.

In solidarity,
