Hi everyone,

Our chapter has a few exciting new projects that are in the works, and the organizers of these projects would like your feedback and perspective in shaping that work!

First, several members in our chapter have been coming together to talk about how our chapter can approach ecosocialist organizing and the fight for a Green New Deal. This survey was developed by the EcoSocialist Working Group to get DSA New Orleans members' thoughts and suggestions for guiding the future of our chapter's ecosocialist campaign work. Participating in the national DSA Green New Deal Summit informed us of the work other chapters are doing around GND campaign demands (Public Power, People's Budget, End Fossil Fuel Subsidies and Tax the Rich, Federal Jobs Guarantee, International Trade and Climate Justice, GND for Transportation) and how EcoSocialist campaigns often overlap and work closely with other groups in the chapter. It will be helpful to hear your thoughts on how you see the EcoSocialist WG fitting into broader chapter work/campaigns. Please take a few minutes and fill out this survey!

Additionally, for many weeks now, our chapter has had weekly political education sessions to discuss different topics and readings related to socialism and organizing. The folks leading that work would love your perspective on how that work should be structured and what you would be most interested in learning about! Please fill out this survey to let us know what topics you would like to learn about through our political education work and how you would like that learning to be structured!

Lastly, you may have heard - another hurricane is coming! Please fill out this Hurricane Preparedness Survey to stay connected with DSA New Orleans during storms, so that we can be as prepared as possible to mobilize resources and stay in touch with one another during disasters.
