New York Times editorial board member Jesse Wegman's new video discusses shortcomings of the current system of electing the President, saying:

"American democracy isn’t just quirky — it’s also unfair. Five times in our history, presidential candidates who have won more votes than their opponent have still lost the election. Why? Our 230-year-old jerry-built system for picking the president, known as the Electoral College."

SUPPORT NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE
As explained in Jesse Wegman's video, the National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate receiving the most popular votes in all 50 states and D.C.

This is a great time to send your state legislators an email asking them to support the National Popular Vote bill. Most of them are up for election on November 3.
