Here at Team Espy HQ, our team has been building the largest grassroots fundraising network Mississippi has ever seen.

We broke records last month with our $4 million fundraising haul, thanks to grassroots contributions from more than 100,000 people. Our average online contribution was just $27. That’s right, $27.

This is truly a team effort — and your donation is an important part of it. Folks on the ground here in Mississippi, and across the country, are bringing our historic campaign to life. So I wanted to take a moment to show you exactly what that looks like. 

Thanks to you, in addition to grassroots donations coming in from emails like this one, there are grassroots donations coming through the mail. 

There are grassroots donations coming from text messages.

There are grassroots donations coming from social media.

And of course, there are grassroots donations coming through events, including our socially-distanced meet-and-greets and rallies.

As you can see, this is a huge team effort, and every dollar counts. When it comes to fundraising, Mississippi has historically been overlooked. But that’s all changing this year, with your help — and your $27 average contribution.
